See that phone to the left? That’s the HTC Touch Diamond – and I’ve got one. First things first, this isn’t a review. It’s just me saying how cool this phone actually is.
Touch Screen
This phone has a touch screen, but its not just that that makes it good. HTC’s TouchFLO 3D interface really makes things cool, browse through pictures similarly to the way you would cycle through your open windows in Vista by pressing Win+Tab.
Windows Mobile
It runs Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional (Pocket PC) with HTC’s black theme. I like the fact you can install programs on it, to extend is already huge list of features.
Connectivity
It’s something this phone has. Bluetooth, WiFi, FM Radio. All of them. My main reason for getting this phone was the fact it had WiFi, which means I can browse the web, chat on Windows Live Messenger, talk on Skype and see what other people are doing using packing sniffing.
Accelerometer
This lets you move the phone sideways, and the picture or video you’ll be watching will rotate sideways too. There’s also a game called Teeter, where you move the phone respectively to control the on-screen ball bearing, avoiding getting it in the grey holes but attempting to get it in the green hole.
GPS
What more can I say? This phones GPS receiver means you’ll never get lost again.
This phone is quite costly, but to anyone who is looking for a next-generation alternative to an Apple iPhone, the HTC Touch Diamond is definately one to consider! REMEMBER: This phone does MUCH MUCH MUCH more that what’s stated here!
